Unfortunately for this old man, I bet my kids would be better drivers in this car than I would be. Damn, this is starting to become a serious pattern........old=Russ :sad2:

There was a good article on the joystick type steering wheels like 3-4 years ago but they weren't the joystick like that one. Im surprised there aren't any around yet. It cut down the mental strain of drivers by like 60% on long trips, and the learning curve for someone that never played video games was like a week before they fully got used to the system and prefered it over the old steering wheel and pedals. I think the only problem was practicality for alot of stop and go driving at low speeds as its mainly for criuse control type driving. And running into that slow driver scared of passing the truck on the highway in the left lane =P Which accounts for 90% of all traffic problems.

This reminds me of the redone ford Thunderbird. Looks like the Bently body lines with the big swooping rear.

I think the prototype was designed retro to accentuate the more modern console prototype. You wouldn't be like "woah! check out the steering wheel" as much if it was a more modern design. Gives you something more to think about when looking at the car now =0)

Plus there isn't any money in manufacturing a line like the thunderbird anymore. People want something more up to date design wise. There's like 0 thunderbirds on the road nowadays and noones really went down that design path after the thunderbird.

Exactly the car I was thinking of Jarrett. One look at the rear I thought of the old lexus. I like the feel of the car and the wheel, I hate the new cars that try to remove the whole "driving" aspect. Get a driver if you don't like driving lol.
