Has anyone noticed the new NY license plates? They remind me of the 80s! They are so damn ugly and I would hate to put them on my cars! Someone should start a petition or something...... Mustard yellow and blue? COME ON! The best plate was the statue of liberty! Anyone else embarrassed to slap these ugly plates on? They are even charging an extra $25 for these ugly things!

Yes I saw them. Its a total disgrace thats for sure. The only reason we are getting new plates is so the state can get more money. When you renew your registration you will be forced to upgrade to the new plates and pay 40 bucks. Total bullshit, like the state doesnt take enough of my money with taxes and such.

I registered my car last monday, and when i saw these i asked for the blue and whites, the guy said, haha, here you go. Hands down the worst plates ive ever seen

They came out with this plate for the red light camaras because people were coating the plate with pear clear the plate come out blure with that .With this new plate the yellow bring out the letter in the plate so pear clear coat wont work.

Agreed that these are terribly ugly. The first one I saw, I thought to myself - wow, that car must have some sort of gel over the plate or something. It's dingy and ugly.

Then I saw another one today and thought, huh - two cars with the same stupid gel?....
