You forgot Megadeth, Celtic Frost, Gwar, Toxic, and Crue.

The bands you mentioned in the beginning, Eh not a fan, but Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, Exodus, Testament, Suicidal Tendencies, Queensryche, Kiss, Led Zep, and the ones I mentioned were definitely Awesome.

Killswitch is actually one of my favorite bands. I don't know too many other people who like them though... (and my fiance definitely doesn't like them, lol....)

I like Killswitch and Shadows Fall, though I haven't picked up either of their latest albums. I have been listening to Volbeat quite a bit lately though. I first saw Volbeat when they opened up for Metallica this past year. I got GA tickets for their show @ MSG. I was impressed, and I have enjoyed their 3 latest albums.

Yeah.. I saw KSE earlier last year 2x! Best Live band besides MetallicA!

80s metal is good for all the.. I guess you'd say feeling? emotion.. just raw power. And meaningful with all the great lyrics pre 1980s till up to the end of the 80s.

However the LEVEL of playing has increased tremendously.. and NONE of the old bands come close to the level of musicianship that bands do today. Back then there were ARTISTS. Now.. there just a a lot of great bands that have amazing talent on their instruments.

Only band really attempting to bring back "true" metal.. or what all you dudes mean by the 80s metal.. is Trivium. But then again.. theres always someone saying "oh they ripped of tallica" or they ripped off this band..

Whatever though.. Killswitch Engage is definitely one of the best band around now. And for those who haven't already.. you MUST pick up their new self titled album.. its amazing!

I listen to Parkway Drive, All That Remains, and Bullet For My Valentine but Bullet's new album isn't too good...

Parkway Drive is also one of my favorite bands. I knew them before anyone did! Along with I Killed The Prom Queen.. haha Australian hardcore is awesome.

All That Remains' singer Phil is stepping in for Howard of KSE, on their tour right now actually.

The new albums I'm highly anticipating now is..

I am a very confused music-liker...Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Jerry Cantrell/A.I.C., NOFX, Cro-mags, Killswitch, Skrewdriver, Superjoint Ritual, UnderOath, Down, Necrophagia, Mastodon, Agnostic Front, 25 ta Life, Cold Front, Nirvana, Green Day have all been getting heavy play while I work this week...

Maiden, Megadeth, First 3 Ozzy zlbums, Sabbath, Slayer, Dio, Motorhead, DRI, S.O.D., System of a down, Circle Jerks, Cro Mags, Bad Brains, Preist,
Best live band for me is Maiden.
I have seen them 54 times, & again this July @ The Garden. This will be the first Maiden show for my son. His favorite Band. He's 12yo & a Bass Player so It stands to reason he would love Maiden.
