both my offices(one in ny and one in nj)got billed for $49/month for website maintenance....only problem is we don't have a website....lol. verizon told me they're just billing for a third party. i have to contact the company(i think it was called green initiative) and deal with it myself....they(verizon) are not involved....yet they are the one who billed me!!!! when i contacted the website maintenance company, they claimed that one of my assistants authorized it. i informed them that we don't have a website.....they asked if i wanted one...they can design it for a fee....lol. after about 20 minutes of beating my head against the phone, they said they will remove the charges and stop the billing....guess what.... i got another $49 tacked on my verizon bill again. what a freaking scam....!!!!!
Reminds me of the check scams. Companies send you a check for like a buck and when you cash it you are authorizing debits from that account or your home phone. My wife was about to cash one once.
a friend of mine had that and was on the phone with verizon fighting for weeks and they kept saying sorry not or bill not our problem its a 3rd party u authorized.. finally after 6 months and a call from a lawyer they refunded and dropped the billing... someones scamming really bad!!! and verizons washing their hands of it!! man it scarry!!
We had this happen once. $7 for e-voicemail. We called Verizon and they credited us back for it immediately and put a lock on our account which won't allow any third party from attaching their bill to Verizon's.

There is no reason for a company(especially one that is not chartered as a bank) to bill for a 3rd party company, it's clearly a mean to "scam", "borrow" money without our consent and not paying interest.
Let say I provide aquarium maintenance to Verizon, can I start to bill Verizon for members here whom claim they provided service to Verizon and authorized by Verizon's empolyees? I think our admin can even provide IPs and log on time that they have been on our forum. This could be a big business imagine $10 per member and that could mean $10,000.00 a month.
