Lets go fishing!!

You only need the liscense in Ny waters not NJ yet.

Last I knew you have needed one for a long time in NY. I have had to get mine for almost 10 years.

Get your license at any sports authority , Dicks sporting goods, or most sporting good stores.

There are some really good fishing charters out of Brooklyn. It's not too bad in price either, right around $70 a person for the whole day.

I hate those charters, too many REALLY OLD guys , or too many lil annoying kids, and dont really talk to anyone, but if we get a group of reefers to go , we could have some stuff to talk about

Guys you don't need a license to go on a party boat or charter boat (saltwater fishing). Their license covers any passengers aboard. Right now the only good fishing would be for cod in Monatuk. By May the Striper fishing in Jamaica Bay and Long island sound will heat up and will be a great trip for you guys.

i got mine on thursday, it was 10 dollars for the year [new york] 2010 was the first year.

im down for charters or shore fishing. i like fishing off the shore

I have two boats but am up the Hudson a bit. Striper season is now open. Setting nets soon for the herring (nothing like fresh bait). My neighbor on the dock is the guy who got the 52 pounder last spring and I have every intention of getting some time in on the water asap. Just have to do work hours at the clubs first (See waaaaaaa post). Also have to get licenses; need fresh and salt above the Tapan Zee. 2 licenses, one fish, what a drag.
