That you know is gonna turn into one of those terrible horrible no good very bad day?
This morning started with me waking at 6:05am and realizing it was Tuesday, aka garbage day, and I didnt take the garbage out last night. This normaly wouldnt bother me except that I've been working on my basement and have a lot of construction debris, so at 6:05am I got up to take out the garbage.
Went looking for my gloves, which were in the basement. I opened the door to and WHOOPS... right down the stiars I fell. Aside from skinning my whole right arm, every muscle in my neck and back that was already sore from getting rear-ended at work last week now hurts 10x worse.
Got to the basement. Saw water all over the floor, coming form the dehumidifier. Water totally logged one of the cartons that some of my new cabinets were in, so I ripped them all open (luckily the water hadnt gotten to the actual cabinet) and was about to take the cartons out when I realized the water wasnt coming from the dehumidifier. I followed the stream (yes, it can totally be qualified as a small running stream) back to the kitchenette I had installed about a week ago. Last night I connected the sink and turned the water back on and, although I could have SWORN I checked the connections to make sure they were not leaking, it was dripping all night from the cold water connection to the sink faucet.
So at 6:15am, after getting all the water logged cartons outside and taking out the rest of the garbage, I was on my hands and knees cleaning up all the water (most of it was on tile and concrete which, in hindsight, is not so bad... I was supposed to start laying laminate pergo floor last night... VERY GOOD thing I didn't). Now I'm hoping the water logged cabinet will dry without a problem and I'm hoping whatever water got underneath will dry without a problem (its on tile, which is good, and hopefully it didnt get on the drywall TOO much... seemed to stream down into the basement).
Oh, and just to add insult to injury, after I finished cleaning up and then getting ready for work, at 7:32 while writing this thread, I opened a new carton of milk for my cereal which, I realized after the first bite, was sour.
Please everyone pray for me to have a better day... Because the way this day is going, I'll be shot at work (probably accidently by a coworker)before I make it home.
