Do any of the fields mentioned have areas with swing and slides and stuff for kids?

Flushing Meadow and Astoria park have swings and slides.... and best of all for the adults...PARKING. in comparison from what I remember of prospect park.

Keep in mind that convenience of a park close to you and accessible to others that travel are two different things and must be put into consideration.
For those that are driving, they need to be able to park without too much hassle as it is a turn off trying to find parking in certain areas.
Convenience of travel also should be factored in.

Now,
Flushing Meadow Park is within close distance from the LIE, GCP, VWE and Jackie Robinson Pkwy. 7 Train within walking distance from park entrances.

Astoria Park GCP, BQE. N Train within walking distance.

Prospect Park is close to Prospect Expy and driving distance to the BQE.

By Public Transportation (MTA map)

The following subways are located near the Park:
? F train at 7th Ave. station, 15th St./Prospect Park station and Fort Hamilton Parkway station.
? 2 or 3 train at Grand Army Plaza station.
? Q train at Parkside Ave. station and Prospect Park station.
? S train at Prospect Park station.
? B train at Prospect Park station.

The following bus lines stop near the Park:
? B41 or B71 along Flatbush Ave. to Grand Army Plaza or Ocean Ave.
? B69 along Prospect Park West.
? B75 along 9th St. to Prospect Park West.
? B68 along Coney Island Ave./Prospect Park Southwest to Park Circle or Bartel-Pritchard Circle.

There really are not any if at all for Prospect. Which means it's either getting there by mass transit or park blocks and blocks away... inconvenient especially for a BBQ or Softball when hauling equipment, that is unless you are just planning on bringing a glove.

Yeah Slamma, cemetery is right next door. The two balls fields are all the way to the back of the park if your standing on McDonald Ave, there is a brand spanking new kids jungle gym there and decent parking. But the trade off is that the field kinda sucks. That's the place I told you about last year for softball Sundays.
