I just spent about $150 in home depot on flowers last friday but it was still too early looks like things are heading downhill we had hail today and it was cold

I've been planting things for the last 2 weeks...this is the best time...still cool, and rain is reliable. The only problem is the squirrels digging everything up afterwards.....

Zone 6 here. Just be prepared to cover your plantings if frost is predicted. Anything is possible until the end of May in Z6.

I always wait til the middle to end of May!

To keep those pesky squirrels from digging your garden up place a layer of chicken wire over your bulbs then cover with soil and mulch.

Can't wait anymore and plante some couple days ago.

Unfortunately, did not start the recycling compost early enough for immediately use.

For each kind of seeds I only planted half of them just in case they don't make it. If they do, I will plant the rest in pots.
