Was just flipping through the channels and saw a clip of the Ultimate Warrior.

Does anyone know what happened to that guy? Either I dont remember if I abruptly stopped watching wrestling as a kid or he dropped off the face of the earth really quickly and suddenly

No he did not die. The ultimate warrior DVD is available from the WWE he had a drug problem and was fired. The original Warrior death rumors started because when he was fired he disappeared off the face of the earth for good reasons. He was a scumbag.

He gave a commencement speech at a college not too long ago (within the last 3 years) and started a riot with racial and anti gay remarks.

He's still alive. He did take steroids but he just stopped wrestling. There were interviews with him on when Chris Benoit died so Ultimate Warrior is very much alive.

if anyone remembers he returned for a short period in the wcw in 1998. I was at a pay per view match, fall brawl in 1998 i believe, where he made a surprise appearance. shortly after that he disappeared again.

What do you mean?

Chief, as kids I remember my sister and i getting all our chores in the house done early so that we could stay up late and watch Saturday night's main event. I used to think that it was for real, like Hulk vs. Andre the giant, hulk vs. macho man etc. but it was all a big soap opera but very entertaining for kids. The wrestling nowadays can't compare. Back in the days it was good clean fun but nowadays the wrestling on tv shows a bunch of half naked women running around. I don't have kids, but if I did i wouldn't want them watching that crap. (Chief you do know wrestling is scripted right? J/K) :biglaugh:

My 3 favorite moves back in the days was

1) Ultimate warrior body press (where he lifts him over his head and drops him)
2) Hammer's Figure 4 leg lock (remembered trying it on a few people unsuccesfully)
3) Red Rooster's Chicken Wing (move was so complex it was awesome)

on top of that the video game in the arcade was awesome if anyone ever played it. Loved being mister perfect or million dollar man. that sleeper hold was awesome and when you played the legion of doom at the end that was awesome too.
