Isn't that the truth.

etompkins--- ever hear of Catapano Dairy on Long Island? We take lil' man there to see their goats and get some goodies. They do cheeses and have a line of skin care, soaps and things all done with goats milk. Their farm is in Peconic.

I'd like to take the family there when it gets warmer. Ever go to the Holtsville Farm/Ecology center? Never been there but thinking of checking it out.

BTW nice dragons. I have one myself - its about six months old and a little psycho. The parents were yellows so I'm hoping it takes up that color. Let me know if you ever breed them and need to offload one or two :birthday:

Nice discus up there.

We have been to Holtsville more times than I can count. Free, close to home and they have animals. Lil' man loves it. They have bears that they have had since cubs, which has been cool to see them grow. Some goats, birds (all kinds), turkey vultures, eagles, hawks and a few others. They also have a paved track that you can bike, roller blade or walk/run around. With stops along the path for different exercise purposes. The pool is there and a playground for the kids and the good ol' ice cream truck and goodie stand. All in all a nice place.

Our dragons are a year old the end of May. We got them for $20 from a lady off of Craigslist... so I am sure they will be getting interested in one another soon:eek:--- not so sure how I feel about that yet. But considering the woman we got ours from had 18 babies.. I'm sure if we end up with a clutch everyone on MR will have one

I think I know who you're talking about. Was she advertising out of the Merrick area? She had ads from a few different places but in that general area and used to say things like " my dragons bred accidentally and i need to adopt out the babies. " I bought three dragons from her at 6 weeks. Rwo died within a month but that was a chance I took buying them so young. They were nice though. This one has been doing well. I think her name was Melissa. Only person I've seen who breeds them and sells them that cheap.

I don't remember where they lived, got CRS and all (aka Can't Remember ****)... we got our two at 2weeks, big risk for first time beardie owners, they ate a TON of pinheads for what seemed like forever....

My dragon is so conditioned to expect food when he sees me that every time I go near the cage he starts jumping all over the place. Sometimes he even lunges at my finger - somethign I am working on stopping while he/she is small! No matter how much and what I feed it, it always seems to have room for more.

Other Pets?...

OTHER PETS

I know we had a few of these threads in the past, so I thought it would be nice to start one up again. Here are my birds: Hamlet (the Quaker Parrot) & Shakespeare (the Green Cheek Conure)

:splitspin Look forward to seeing your other pets...:splitspin
