Well. I don't know man, is this new location of mine haunted or the nowaday delivery persons are ghosts.
Tell me if you think these two addresses are same:
1)138-18 59th Avenue
2)138-18 59th Avenue Building G
The first attempt was delivered to first address which I don't mind, so I called the center to put a note to the package for the driver to read that he's been at the wrong building and I even leave a phone number. I also put a 8" x 11" sign next to the driver's tag telling him that the door he put the tag on is WRONG and where the proper location of Building G is.
I walk between these two buildings every 15 minutes from 12:00pm to 2:15pm. When I get back on my computer around 2:05 to 2:15pm I saw a message from Fedex saying "second delivery failed" emailed to my computer. Man that sucks, the guy must have sleeked between the 15min gap and run as fast as he could so that I cannot catch him. There's an UPS guy right across the stree and see the whole thing. He described it like this: The Fedex guy is the fastest delivery guy on earth, 3 seconds at your door and he is on the truck again! So this guy does not bother to read his note from call center, the sign next to the tag and does his repetitive job : 1)off the truck, 2) ring the bell, 3)3 seconds later back on truck , and repeat next day, and wait til end of week get the pay. Work is so easy in NY and why do I hear people posting about "war on the middle class????" I am probably overly sarcastic. Anyway, I can see that the smart guys in Fedex has try the very best in the information system (delivering the "failed to deliver" messages within seconds)but what good is it if the operators are not doing their job(like reading the note that you are at the wrong address?)
I guess the only way to help this situation is like in the third world people bribe the delivery persons with coffee money.:shhh:
