for helping me waste two hours of my life. Why can't anything Microsoft related actually be easy and user friendly? I have the afternoon to myself and decided to finally try and play some Xbox. I had bought a couple of original Xbox games back in teh winter on clearance thinking that all Xbox games are playable on the 360. Well after spending one hour updating my 360 to make it back compatible I find out that only CERTAIN games are still playable. Oh well....anyone want to buy Heroes of the Pacific or Xmen Legends II for $20 total?
Then I said lets see if I can connect the Xbox to my Vista Media Center computer and stream some media over. Well I spend nearly an hour with an incompetent tech support person who had no clue what I was talking about since the screen wouldn't pop up on her computer. Eventually I managed to connect everything but the only audio files that actually show up on my Xbox are the podcasts. Even though I finally got the Media Center on the PC to display the rest of the audio files, they won't show up on my Xbox. Ditto for video files - even though they will play on Media Player 11 ( which is configured to share with Xbox also ) they wont play on Media Center or the Xbox. Now the TV is another story. I bought an HD antenna to connect to my tv tuner but I dont know if the problem is lack of reception, the tuner, Media Center or the antenna. At least I got the pictures to stream...

To think I could have done something productive like clean the basement or manually strain out all the particles clouding my water..
