I was wondering who if any had one of those tempurpedic mattresses. I was looking at one the other day and figure'd I would do some askin around about it. I looked at a bob-o-pedic online the other day too.

My cousin had gotten the pillow from Sharper Image and liked it for quite a while but he said if you use it a lot it gets to be different and he got rid of it.
A friend of mine has theTemperpedic one and loves it. He's had a bad back for years and swears he sleeps through the night every night now. Also said it takes a little getting used to as it is not soft & has no 'spring' to it, so when you go to get up..it doesn't push you up like a regular mattress. It molds to your body and gives an amazing amount of support. It also weighs a ton but never needs turning, but you do need a specific frame for it as there is no box spring.
He also has the pillows but uses them with regular pillows too.
When I next replace my mattress, I'm going to get one of these.

I've been using it for last 4 years and I don't have any issue with it. I didn't appreciate my bed until I go to my friend's place for over night, and my back was hurt like hell next morning with regular bed, same as my wife. Perhaps I got used to the tempurpedic or my friend had really bad bed.
Yes, it's little more expensive but my bed is like new and it's 4 years old. I am very confident that I can use it next 4 more years without any issue or maybe longer. I remember my old bed after few years, springs weren't same as it used to.

i have one on my bed. We call it the cloud. I got the idea of getting one when i visited a nice hotel. I never realized how comfortable a bed can be and how much of difference it was to sleep in a nice bed. I checked out overstock.com and bought a foam and some other stuff. Now my bed is really comfortable. It only costs $100-150. The smell will linger for a few days. Just air it out outside.

I heard the bob-0-pedics are just as good chief. Your paying for the name and the fact that they had a patent on the product that just ended. U'll see the temperpedic prices drop soon.
Regular box spring works for the temperpedics. u don't need that silly overpriced one they sell. Its just a reg box spring with the material wrapped around it.
Oh, and the mattress isn't for everyone. some people like it some don't. I sleep like a baby and ive always had problems sleeping on other mattresses. Ive been through 2-3 good (expensive, sigh) mattresses too.

I can't stand them. I wake up hurting in very odd places when i sleep on one.
I like my $1000 sealy posturepedic much better. I've had it almost 10 years, so it's paid for itself. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

I had a topper and didn't like it. I suggest getting a thick topper and put it on your bed. You will get a good idea of what it is like to sleep on that type mattress. I bought a king size beauty rest last year and love it. Like Awibrandy said you will either love it or hate it. My gf also didn't like the foam.
Sleepy's. You can usually get them to throw the pillows for free and free delivery.
