I am excited to go check AE out being that I have heard so many good things!
As for the Egg Crate my feeling is other then a frag specific tank or LFS who is propergating corals white egg crate has no place being in a reef display. We are here trying to recreate the natural enviornment of an untouched reef. Using plastic florescent light grills doesnt exactly do that. Invest in some good glue!
So placing frags all over the place and have no organization is much better than using probably the best invention for this specification. :smash::smash::smash:
So when you have jumpers like many wrasses you gonna cover you tank with ur hands?:irked:
Wow, as natural as it is, sorry buddy but its already unnatural for you to have a tank with marine animals that dont deserve to be caged up...:tired:
EGG CRATES @ home DEpot for $10 a large piece...:yeah:
ahh see I have a crown on my tank to prevent the jumpers from doing so. As far organizing a reef display I guess it depends on what your into. For my purposes I am interested in a "Reef Display" not in a study and classification system of coral. However if your interested in the latter the go for it.
dude u are missing the point and their is egg crate i just didnt take a picture of that side.....
Me and MANY OTHER REEFS use egg crate for some many purposes that I will loose count.
I feel like "if you are not organized in your reef, and u have frags that u are growing out(especially sps and some of u know u need that crate) may be for sale or for personal purposes, u will not suceed. I am not saying that u can manage but u have trobble when u already having salt water up to u sleeves..???:smoker:
