I'm contemplating buying an external hard drive and I'm looking for some recommendations.

What I'm looking for is a hard drive to handle all my pics, mp3s, and future camcorder video. I need something that will be able to swap between 4 PCs and TV. I also need something that is reliable and won't crap out.

Right now I'm leaning toward:

Seagate FreeAgent Pro ST307504FPA1E3-RK 750GB 7200 RPM USB 2.0 / IEEE 1394a / eSATA External Hard Drive

the lacies are nice, but a bit on the pricey side. DO NOT get the 'porche' versions. They crap out quite a bit
I have a Mybook and it's fine for my music.

No problem with mine and I have 3 of them. I can even watch movies I have saved to them directly from the drive.

I have the iomega, no problems so far.

I had one of the small WD portable drives crap out, it just spins and won't be recognized, or mount on the desk top any more :(

I was looking at getting a lacie 1TB but I've been reading some conflicting reviews.

I'm going to try the BUFFALO HS-DH500GL 500GB LinkStation Live Multimedia Storage Server. It seems to consistently get great reviews. I would love to get the 750gb drive but it cost $135 more than the 500gb.
