Hey guys,

I have an old Dell that uses an outdated type of RAM (see below). It's mucho expensive to buy these things now because no one makes them anymore and I was wondering if anyone had these lying around in old comps. If so, let me know and I'll be happy to discuss. Thanks!

RAMBUS ram never really took off. It was originally going to be the standard for Pentium 4's, but the RDRAM manufacturer was having issues making the quantity needed for PC's, so instead DDR ram took over.

How fast is your PC? If it's slower than below
http://www.manhattanreefs.com/forum/nudibar/32632-amd-1-7g-pc-sale.html
then
I will give you 512 RAM instead of the 256 for the same price.

Alternatively I can just give you the Case/PS, MB, CPU, 512K for $100

Thanks for the offer Wingo, but I wanted to upgrade my memory so I can avoid getting a new computer (hassle of installing programs, documents, etc., also more $$$) or at least not anytime soon.

jw thanks for the offer, but like b said, it needs to be in pairs. thanks tho!

chief, thanks for the offer and digging around.
