Good restaurants in the city

We're going into the city with my Wife's parents the day after Thanksgiving just to walk around and see the sites etc. We're all out of the eastern end of LI to NYC trips are few and far between. Everytime we go in somehow we whind up at the same places. Jeckyll and Hydes, or Bubba Gump. What other places along those lines can you recommend?

Tony di Napoli at 147 w 43st between 6th and 7th. Each plate is under $30 and serves 2-3. It's Italian and I suggest the Chicken Parm and rigatoni a la vodka. I'm salavating. There's also a chinese restaurant called Ollies at 200b west 44st My mom loves it and I think it's good.

There is Carmine's in Times Square. I love their food! Big servings too! Although I go to the one uptown, the one in Times Square shouldn't be different!

It is located at 200 W 44 St, between 7th and 8 Ave.

As for food, their calamari is one of the best in the city. I also like their Chicken Marsala. For dessert, TIRAMISU!

You will have a GREAT time! Tons of different food for everyone and usually a cool scene!

30 East 29th street between Madison and Park.
Italian food, nice place and quiet atmosphere, if you are leaning more towards that with 6 adults the day after Thanksgiving.

clearly one of the best places to eat in midtown. italian family style food to feed everyone with just 3 plates. the only flaw is that you will have to wait an hour to be seated

How fancy are you looking to go?

Morton's steakhouse, Tao (great sushi but expensive), there's also this italian place on 1st ave and 56th/55th (good prices and quiet foods great), Balthazar's downtown in soho (i think prince off of bway) but you gotto dress up for all these places and they are a bit pricey.

Beni hana, there was also this italian family style restaurant near the columbia area on bway 110th or something, there's alot of good places just can;t remember the names.

I should mention that Churrascaria Plataforma is all you can eat (a LOT of meat and an HUGE salad bar for vegetarians). Price is $40-45 prix fixe, no desert or drinks. It is so much fun, I assure you that it will be a great time. I would call for a reservation and also ask if the live brazilian band is playing the night you are planning.

I second that. Why don't you go down to Little Italy or Chinatown?

Chinatown is great, Little italy is great. Smith and Wolensky steak house is great too.

It you don't mind the price Sea Grill at Rockefeller Center is kinda nice its almost that season to be festive. The food is really good though.

Also if you want a steakhouse you can go to Primehouse on 27th and park. They just opened up recently and I was there this past Thursday and they have an awsome wine selection.

if u want the best, the "View" is hot rotating restaurant, "tao" is also great with a 16' buddha, La bella pizza great pizzeria with beer ( oven made) great place.

I think we're going to try out Tony di Napoli's this next trip in since my wife's parents are paying for their son and his girlfriend to go.

We're taking her parents in to see the Cirque de Solei show on the Dec. 22nd and will try out Churrascaria Plataforma then.
