The $2419 (plus the price of a copy of Windows Vista, of course) MacBook Pro's PC WorldBench 6 Beta 2 score of 88 beats Gateway's E-265M by a single point, but the MacBook's score is far more impressive simply because Apple couldn't care less whether you run Windows.

Macbook: $2149 + A copy of vista for $220 = $2369

Gateway E-265M for $1399.99

so you're going to run out and spend $1k more for one point of gain on a vista machine? I've got other things to do with that much cash than join a cult. . .

you could BUY another piece of software, like vmware or portals to actually run xp in a window on your mac desktop...
