So, "L.A. INK" is my latest project. Unlike the previous shows I've worked on - where I worked on the entire series - this time I am only doing 2 episodes. And the first of those will be airing on Tuesday night at 10pm. (The other one we just started editing and it will air in September).
For those who don't know: "L.A. Ink"is a spin-off from "Miami Ink," one of TLC's most popular shows. "Miami" concentrates on a tattoo shop in that city, the people who get tattooes (and why they get them), and the guys running and working at the shop. The lone woman in the place, Kat von D, got the boot at the end of the previous season. It was a clash of personalities and she headed back home to LA where she just opened her own shop. The rest is history. The premiere of the show this past Tuesday was the most highly rated series on the network since 2003. We not only got the highest ratings on basic cable for that time slot, we beat ABC! So check us out! In the episode Kat's shop isn't yet finished and the people she hired to work with her - who moved to LA from Chicago - aren't amused. Improvising is the order of the day. And Kat inks "Jackass" Steve O. Now that's quality television! :tongueani
