Hey guys- due to some huge dental bills I had to incur this year, I can't pay off my credit card until bonus time next year... so I am looking for a 0% interest deal for a year on balance transfers. Anyone have a good card for this? I'm looking to pay it off in full in a year, but can't do it at this time (wedding ring, huge dental bills, wedding... ugh). Thanks! :D

I wouldn't enter any info via that website; I'd go directly to the credit card's site after sifting through the info. BTW, that site was the first of many after googling "credit card balance transfer"

Take note of the fine print on all those balance transfer offers.

Most will charge 3% of the amt. transfered. Most have maximum's of $50. Just check it out.

Most zero rate transfers will require you to make two purchases a month after an initial grace period of no purchases. Ask the card issuer if there is a minimum amount required on those two monthly purchases. Discover doesn't have a minimum. I've used it at gas pumps and charged a penny twice in the month. The new charge is NOT included in the zero rate. Any payments you make will go towards the transferred balance of zero interest first. Once that's ALL paid off, THEN your payments will be applied to your new purchases (which are accruing interest during that time). So if you charge dinner twice a month, you could be looking at an increasingly large balance accruing interest unexpectedly.

Hope this helps.

Ryan are your teeth all fixed ? :teeth:

jh- :( friday I finally get my tooth in!!! $15k and one year later....:banghead:

master- thanks, that is something I was looking at too - if I buy something for only a couple of cents the interest isn't too much at all considering what I am transferring. If the deal isn't there anymore I'm just going with Amem Blue card - 15 months at 0% isn't bad, since I am hoping not to need all 15 to pay it off

Are you self employed or are you on payroll? If former, I can get you my friend who did my insurance. In the past, MR had a thread about insurance and I accidentally find out that the plan is so much better than the other self employed member here after she mentioned what she paid got covered for. I did not make it sound like a sale post so I said nothing but when I see your 15K a tooth, I think you really should look for something that covers it or at least take a vacationa nd have your tooth done in Asia. Your got your tooth done right and still have more than enough money to play in Aisa.
