Order of the Phoenix-IMAX

If you haven't seen the new HP movie, or even if you saw it in a regular theater, you MUST see it in IMAX 3D. An amazing experience. Granted only the last 20 minutes is in 3D, but the size of the screen and the grandiose sound system make it a fantastic movie going experience.

If you've seen it and post here, PLEASE DON'T SPOIL IT FOR OTHERS!

You think the IMAX would be to overwhelming for my 6 year olds? I wouldn't want them to be in such awe they lose the storyline.

The movie is not a movie for 6 y/o's. There is death, blood, attack by serpents, sorcery, etc. The IMAX just makes everything real big (proportionately) and loud.

Great movie for adults.

How funny would it be if....

...my sister, Adrienne and I saw the 9:45 IMAX show at the Palisades on my birthday, July 18th...



we LOVED it and talked about everything that was left out of the movie all the way home... We thought they did a great job of it - and that the actors are aging very nicely. Only Neville is becoming a stretch (as in, he, too, is aging nicely, and not at all looking as insecure and round as he did... but trying hard to put that feeling forward...)

and frankly, Harry is HAWT (and so is Hermione!)

We saw the 9:45 show on July 17th.

IMO the cast was phenomenal. From Filtch to Tonks, from Bellatrix to Sirius.

Funny thing about Hermione though. There are two variations to the poster for the Order of the Phoenix. One of them 'enhances' Hermione in all the right places. Not too much mind you, but look at her waist in both pix. They supposedly opted out of the enhanced pic.......damn

There's been some controversy about those posters. Supposedly the actress was quite upset and the studio said they used the wrong photos by mistake. There was also a bridge in Brooklyn they tried to sell her.

Did anyone else not like the plot? I haven't read the books but it had a lord of the rings - twin towers feel to me. It was a great movie but it felt like it was just getting you from movie 1 to movie 3. The final fight was really cool but when it ended I was just like blah. The acting was awesome and I really liked Harry's struggle with being a hero, really reminded me of spider-man 2 where Peter Parker struggles with being a hero. The Hermione and Harry friendship is so believable, I was so impressed with how they handled that! And also Hermione and Ron but I've always thought since the 4th movie that there was something between those two.
