if u go to the national breed club(beagle club of america or similar) they will have beagle "rescues" avail in ur area...best situation for the dog because they have more acsess to ppl looking for a beagle
Schezuan Delight on Washington Avenue off Eastern Parkway has SEVERAL animal carriers behind their store. (This is True and visible from the roof of nearby buildings) I imagine they know of good homes since they obviosuly have experience caring for many animals.
In all seriousness I'd try the "* Rescue" groups. Every breed has one:
Pug Rescue
Beagle Rescue
Schnauzer Rescue
It's all people who are obsessed with a certain breed and would rather see one in this situation get a good home, than allow it to be euthanized and get themselves a puppy. They're good people, G-d's work and all.
His name is Spirit. The dog is four years old. Potty trained obviously.
Very good with kids and other dogs, never seen it aggressive. Almost never barks. If you guys are interested, give me a call 917-403-8256.
Otherwise, I'll try the rescue centers suggested. Thanks all.
