Well I wouldn't really consider it a career, but I occasionally do some commercial diving in the area. I've done prop replacements, inspections and boat cleanings in North Cove Marina and at Chelsea Piers.
I have no pictures since it's usually 0 visibility. Boat cleaning is generally a bit boring, but it's also sort of relaxing. It's a strange feeling being under a 120 ft. boat in 0 vis, while scrubbing the bottom. You have a lot of time in your own head. Inspections are usually pretty quick... just checking to see if something is blocking a vent, or if a prop was damaged when they hit that big piece of driftwood. Bigger jobs like prop replacements are the hardest and most interesting, sometimes involving tools like a hydraulic ram, or multiple lift bags to get a large prop to the surface.
