i love to bow hunt but just dont have any time any more, i have a mathews f/x for sale, its shooting right around 300 fps the way it is set up, you can get it over 300 if you tweak it a little.

I too bowhunt and have a matthew switchback xt.. Sweet bow...As for getting bucks closer you just really need to do the proper scouting and finding well used trails....I have a trail cam that i set up every year in the area i will be hunting and you get to see alot of whats in the area before you really commit on a particular stand....Just look for the main signs such as rubs and scrapes and see the direction they are facing. that will let you know if the bucks are visiting during the day or at night

where do you shoot your bow....I shoot right off of northern by utopia PKWY on 171st....Nice range and very helpful tuning your bow

i found a great spot in li and westchester i know in Li there is a 10 point maybe a 12 point buck where i go .i hit him in the shoulder last year and while stalking i chased him up.im going to use some dear cocaine this year to get him a little closer for my camera to really check him out.as for westchester saw a lot of little guys spike and fours.came right 15 yards from me but i just let them pass.i use a PSE but looking for a HOYT maybe a MATHEWS.my wife hooked me up with a range finder for christmas cant wait to use that this year.might try Ohio this year ill see where work is and what the funds look like.if anyone can agree with me on this i think that hunting is the most relaxing hobby.when i get stressed at work the weekend hunt takes all that stress right out of me
