My name is Veni and I'm in the process of opening a new LFS in Queens - Wonderful World of Fish n? More. We are aiming to open at the end of May and it turns out, we need more help than we had originally planned for and are looking for some experienced talented professionals to join our team as **TROPICAL FISH SPECIALISTS**
I know this forum has many hobbyists so I thought it would be a good idea to post and see if anyone is interested in the positions within the community of MR or if anyone knows anyone who might be interested.
We have openings for FULL time AND PART time associates and offer competitive pay based on experience.
Primary Job Responsibilities include:
?The cleaning and maintenance of fresh and saltwater aquariums
?The cleaning and maintenance of all filtration equipment
?Monitoring the health of fish
?Testing and maintaining proper water parameters of fresh and saltwater aquariums
?The installation of commercial or residential aquariums
The ideal job candidate should posses the following qualifications:
?Experience in maintaining freshwater fish, marine fish, corals and invertebrates is a must
?Extensive experience maintaining personal aquariums
?Thorough knowledge of species identification, disease recognition, daily husbandry, food preparation, nutrition and water quality
?Thorough knowledge of popular aquarium equipment and accessories for retail sale
?The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is necessary
