Computer Technical Question

A question for the computer people out there(I am not one). Whenever I open a thread with attached images I tend to either get only some of the images or none at all. I usually get a rectangular box with the words attached image but no image itself. Anyone know what causes this. It never used to happen. It seems to be only happening on this website?

100% software related. Nothign wrong with the video card. Try using firefox.

Ming I already use Firefox. That is the confusing part I tried Internet Explorer to see if it was a Firefox thing but it was the same using both browsers. Andre (Dreko) came over and checked a few things out but to no avail. Any other ideas.

DId you check the board settings to see if you have images turned off? I would start there, next check the security settings for IE/Firefox. May have a setting for remote links disabled. Are you having this of every site or just MR?

GY7400 Checked all those everything ok. It only happens oN MR. I am getting a lot of Java Script errors. The following is an example.

My wife tells me she gets the same Java script error on her laptop but has no prob with the pics. So it prob isn't that.

May want to check if the version of java you're running is current, worth a shot. I get the java error on the bottom as well but doesn't seem to cause any problems for me.

Ming Reef Central works fine. It seems to be site specific. This is what is confusing me. I am also running the latest Java.

Java and javascript are two seperate things. One has nothing to do with the other. Sounds like you have a few issues going on. I would go ahead and run anti spyware and anti virus software to rule them out as possibilities. Download and reinstall firefox and see if that works.

on IE try going to tools/internet options/advanced
scroll to mutimedia n see if show picture is checked

I doubt the javascript error that you mentioned has anything to do with the missing pictures because I have the same exact errors on my javascript console as well. I just choose to not display every error on the page.

Could you provide a link to the page this thing is happening on? And maybe include a screen shot of what you're seeing?
