There will be the annual train display at Lasdon Park /Katonah-Somers this month

I have been there a few times. It is a good thing. They do polar express readings and play the movie. Sometimes they do arts and crafts. Plus there is a great little path there that walks you through some nice memorials to our armed forces. The Train display is very nice.

There will be the annual train display at Lasdon Park /Katonah-Somers this month

I never realized they did a Halloween display at Ladson Park! Next year I will be checking it out! This year's Christmas display is up and running from what I hear so maybe next week I will be checking it out but the Westchester Toy and Train show is next week as well so it's going to be a busy weekend for me and the 3 kids. I was at Bear Mountain yesterday for Breakfast with Santa and I was thinking how much fun it would have been if they set up the trains in the lobby of the Inn like they used to when I was a kid.

Took a panoramic picture of the display yesterday and added a few things.

model railroading has always interested me, i went to trainland in brooklyn a few months ago to check out some prices and after seeing how much it would cost to get into this hobby, i think its not for me

Trainworld is grossly overpriced. Train shows are the best way to get trains and accessories for a great price.

Most are outside of the city on Long Island and Jersey, Westchester, Kingston, Fishkill, Poughkeepsie. Lots of train sale pages on Facebook too.

Alas, tomorrow the Polar Express goes away for another year. So sad. But that means the NYC Hudson can come out to play!

Been seeing other states having train shows. Poughkeepsie was supposed to have one last week but I spent a lot of money at the gun show the day before so I had to pass. If you hear of any train shows coming up please let me know.
