That is what you get when a contemporary designer thinks of a "cool" idea without truly knowing his/her subject. How in the hell are you supposed to clean that thing. What about algae?

Here is the caption that went along with the photo:

My tropical freshwater tank is a custom made to order kit that I purchased from a company in France called Octopus Studios. As you can see from the picture it is a really wild design that gets a lot of wow's from friends. It measures about a metre cubed/3.3 foot cubed and holds about 230Litres/60gall. The kit is a complete setup that includes highest quality eheim filters/ lighting and aeration.

how you clean it

3 lids come off and you use a toliet bowl type sponge to clean, or slide a spyphon hose and irritate water. only know cause friends had a odd ball tank kinda like it

Rock- yeah wish I could just wander by your parking lot, but unfortunately it is frowned upon, since you dont know what has settled on the rock (like car exhaust).

HUMMMM garden supply stores... good idea.... now to find one close to me... not a lot of gardeners by me. gardening store. yeah!

those are some great tanks they have designed in some serious high end homes. they have the planted tanks down, but they need help with the reef design. I really like the tank they made for the dart frogs.

If you are talking about the smooth grey rocks in the FW section, I set a tank up for a friend who wanted them in his tank. They have them at a local shopping center, we "borrowed" a couple everytime either off us went there, then after a good bleach bath followed up with some pressure washing and left out to dry in the sun they were fine in his cichlid tank. They look great with the black gravel.
