OK- I have a bunch of games on my Verizon phone. I would like to get a new phone, but I will be unable to upload my games from my old phone to my new phone. Does anyone know of a way to upload files (games actually) from my cellphone to my computer - and then allow me to upload the games from my computer back onto my new cellphone?

I have read that Verizon phone use 'Brew' and not Java- and as Brew has not been cracked yet, that there is no way to do this. Is that true?

One last question- is this process possible using phones that do not run off the Brew platform like my Verizon phone? If I had a cingular or sprint phone that is Java enabled, is there a program out there that would let me do the same as I outlined above? Take game files from phone -> upload to PC -> download games to new phone.

Thanks!!!

If you are keeping verizon as your provider you should be able to down load them to your new phone for no charge..
Otherwise, i have no idea

Yeah, there are programs. BUT verizon usually has the manufacturer BLOCK all multi-media functions. if you get a razr (I suggest you don't.) you can't access any of the rings, pics, ect.

I have a razr from Cingular. they sell a program called Motorola phone tools. You can transfer EVERYTHING to and from your phone. Games, pics, ringtones.

If you're thinking of getting a motorola phone, look up moto-modders great site for hacking into your phone.

what phone do you have now? I had a samsung and used a proggie called BitPim to copy all my phone numbers over to my pc.

hmmm- i have a verizon LG. it's OK- and I like Verizon service.. but I can't stand the fact they won't let you easily back up your phone!

So motorola and cingular hmmm? ok- will have to look into them once my contract expires.

I'm still searching for a program like those for Verizon- out of luck so far!
