Costa Rica

We are looking at a vacation in February and Costa Rica is at the top of our list right now.

It would be my wife, my brother, and his girlfriend going (so no small children).

Has anyone been? Recommendations? Places to go or avoid?

Costa Rica is awesome!!

When I went, we rented a car in San Jose, drove up to Arenal to see the active volcano. We stayed here (http://www.arenalparaiso.com/). Really nice, romantic, clean, affordable hotel. Best massage I ever had was here too!!! We spent a few nights in Arenal, then drove to Manuel Antonio park in close to Quepos. Manuel Antonio has the nicest beaches I've ever been to. It's surreal to walk out of a rain forest to a beautiful beach.

Hands down, Costa Rica was our favorite vacation (so far). If you'd like, PM me with any specific questions you may have.

We did almost the same trip, plus mount verde. The zip lines at mount verde was one of the best part of the trip. Have fun!
