Absolutely correct. Couldn't agree more. Name one team this year that has a dominant rotation . As a bombers fan I feel good going into the post season with our lineup AND rotation. Only time will tell though. :tongue1:

Its almost embarassing how good this lineup is, and they reached the 900 run mark last night. If they get hot and stay hot, it'll be a fun ride to the World Series. Its never one guy that makes a team win, but you have to see that adding Bobby Abreu has made a huge difference. It would be nice to win it all this year and get the taste of 2004 out of our mouth's.

gotta agree abreu has been a monster.and yes good pitching does make the difference,but there are vets on this team that can take on just about any top pitcher in the majors.now if a-rod can come through for the first time in post season (which he has not done in his whole career)there is no stopping this team.not that anything can stop us, but we will need him to come up BIG!!!

Abreu fit in like he's been here his whole life. He was the top banana in Philly. They pitched around him, never gave him anything to hit. In da Bx he's middle of the road (except for his prowess at 'seeing' balls and strikes. King of the hill there :tongue1: ).

2004? What was that? I fell asleep and had a nightmare I still haven't awoken from that one

well least we can see now how a GREAT lineup cant do ish against good pitching just like i said... but SOME not all yankees fans believe put together a great 1-9 batting order.. while having randy johnson and lidle as starters.. and feel comfortable.. hrm..?

A-Rod will succeed somewhere else where the stage isn't as big. He's a great player. He's just the farthest thing from clutch I've seen. Can't remember ever seeing a .290 BA, 35 HR, 121 RBI season from a player that was as unproductive as he was. His #'s are good, but a solo HR when you're up by 3 runs just doesn't have the same impact as the 3 run HR when you're down by 3 :irked: .

There's no way A-bomb can be blamed for this post season exclusively. The entire offense (except Jeter and Posada for the most part) were nowhere to be found. It was just a horrible performance all the way around.

Also, get us a first baseman. If Jeter's throw was more perfect it would have hit Shef in the nose!

your right as far as it isnt just a-rod alone but he had the perfect chance to win game 2 by his lonesome had he atleast got a double when bases were loaded ,then instead of being home we would be playing game 5.but all is said and done we lost and thats,that but man i would have loved to have bernie batting in that situation.well ill be back next year,posting the same thing minus an early exit from the playoffs
