I am going on a trip and want to put videos on my ipad. I am clueless how to use this thing (PC guy). Last time I used Ifunbox but it associated the video with a certain video player which wasn't that great (out of sync). Is there a way I can just put them all into a folder on the hard drive and then browse my hard drive and choose what video player to use?

Also how to put music on there I don't use itunes I use pp25 or whatever its called.

Sounds like you want to do it the easy way aka the pc/android way , apple says you need to use itunes so guess what you have to use itunes , obviously theres other ways but most of the work arounds dint make your life any easier, i used to use mediamonkey to put music on my iphone so i could drag nd drop made it a little better

But basically you cannot browse the hard drive unless your jailbroken then i believe theres some aoos you could use i forget though its been a long time since ive had an apple product

I know how to put it on but I have to choose the program I want to play it. So lets say I choose to transfer it and choose program #1 if that does a bad job playing I cant just open program #2 browse to where the file is saved and start playing. I want to see if there is a way I can make a folder like "videos" then have a file manager where I can select the video and choose what program to play it with.

to browse a network share folder and xfr files, you need to use some type of file explorer app. many are offer from 2 to 7 bucks. not sure how good they work. seems ridiculous u need to pay for an app for just about anything u wanna do on an ipad.
for player i use bs player, seems to play all formats.
