hey guys i won a netgear generation N router from work today so i dont need the netgear 54mbps G router...

will trade for sps frags... (nice colors)

its used for 2 months brand new condition comes with the box, software, power adapter, cat5 cable and instructions...

These are suppose to be the new line in high speed wireless networking the "N" line (up to like 12x faster than "G)...Linksys just came out with one as well looks like a satellite on steriods :lol: .....I have the Linksys "G", no problems here, but couldnt imagine anything faster....Congrats!! :birthday:

Well being its fairly new still the linksys N anyway, thats what the specs are saying, why, do you think its more or less than 12x, Im curious about upgrading than down the line if its worth it ....

besides the hype up speed i think this sums it up nicely:

"802.11n will be faster than g, with speed up to 108Mb bringing wireless standards to a comparable level with wired networks.
However at this time since the full 802.11n standard does not seem to have been finalised, there only seem to be devices that are pre-n.
This means they may have the speeds specified in the n standard, but that it may be done in a proprietary manner making the device incompatible with others from different manufacturer, and that the device may not be updateable to true n compatibility when the standard is finally completed."
