You won't regret it Eric. I've had the Note 3 for a few months now and I absolutely love it. My daughter has the iphone 5s and she begs me everyday to get her the Note 3. I had the iphone from day one but I will never go back. With the iPhone you are on lockdown with absolutely no freedom to do things unlike the Note 3 and S4. Enjoy :)

The note series is a beast of a phone. I've had note 1 and note 2 and regret getting the galaxy s4 active.

I can't stand iPhone UI but their appstore, jailbreaking is a lot better than a rooted droid. You can customize your rom but in the end you may end up bricking your device so better do it right!

Far from LED vs T5 comparison. T5s win just like Android over iPhones.

Yeah this phone is great. No looking back at all. It is so much better than the 4s and it's not even close. Hopefully the iPhone 6 comes out with a larger screen but I'm not going to go running out and grabbing one.

Just thought I'd update this post. I went with the Galaxy Note 3. It's an absolute beast of a phone. My wife still has her iPhone 5s, and she loves it. But honestly it's no comparison for me. The Note 3 is an incredible phone and I'm very happy with the choice.

Glad that you choose the Note3 as this will be more appropriate to compare with iPhone5s in terms of release date. Lets continue to update us how much you like or don't like Note3. Please update me about the performance of the S-pen. I owned the Note2, even though I like it a lot, I wish the S-pen to perform better.

Saw this thread just today and was surprised that you were asking S4 a half year older phone over a 5S when the S4 is about to replaced by the S5. Samsung and Apple intentionally release their flagship phones about half year apart making decisions harder to choose either way.

I was worried over the big size before I bought my Note2, I get used to it in just couple days. I purchased a case which serve also as a bank card holder. The total size still feels smaller than my old wallet as I no longer carry contacts' business cards, I just took pics of them. Of course, both phones can do that.

The thing that I like the most about Note2 are: 1)never have I need to worry about the battery even though I traveled a lot(meaning chance of charging over a period of time is low and more hunting for connection service(and GPS) that use a lot of juice and 2)never have to reboot nor pull the battery like other mentioned about other phones.

this is like LED vs T5

who has the iPhone (like me) will say iPhone is better
who has an android device says is better than the iPhone
be happy:dog:

I've had my galaxy s4 for about 6 months and am very tired of it. I had an iPhone the previous 4 years and regret listening to the people that convinced me to change. The biggest plus of the galaxy is the bigger screen. If the iPhone 6 has a bigger screen than the 5s, i will switch back without hesitating.

Also, megapixels only matter to an extent. More doesn't always mean better quality; I was happy with the iphone camera.

Well. When I first started this thread I didn't know the S5 was coming out in April. The S5 looks good, but I couldn't wait almost 2 months for a phone with very similar specs as my Note 3.

Back to the Note 3-- I have had it for 2 weeks now, and I love it. The phone is big, but you definitely get used to it and I love the large screen. The operating system is smooth and although I'm still learning, it's actually pretty intuitive. There are tons of videos on youtube that give helpful hints. I also like the fact that you can easily add memory, and switch batteries if you need to. Battery life is amazing, though.

Transferring my songs from iTunes to the google play ap was kind of annoying but it's done.

I can't imagine switching back.

Good choice I think note 3 will be my next also. I actually have the s2 skyrocket and I have said it many times its by far the best phone I ever owned. All those reasons you said is exactly why. Smoothe operating, removable battery, I have 3 and an external charger so I never have to worry about plugging my phone in/overcharging. They are really good durable and reliable phones. I think Samsung as a company is just better overall. That whole "making an appointment" nonsense is ridiculous. Do you have cancer or an issue with your phone?! I had a problem once called samsung direct and they helped me no problem and I didn't even have to wait on hold. Just for laughs and this is so true which is why I hate apple. Check out these videos.

Those videos are pretty funny. Lol. However, there are lots of people on the android forums who are bothered by the official S5 specs after release, saying the improvements weren't that great when compared to the S4.

The other annoyance I forgot to mention was when I first got the phone, none of my friends or family with iPhones were able to send me text messages until I went through a pretty lengthy ordeal on the apple side of things. This isn't a Samsung issue though. It's a well known apple issue that has to do with SMS messages.

Hmm, I need to research on that, may be that's a reason why sometimes people say they cannot reach me.

You have a point. But I think it looks neat. The reviews aren't really mixed on the newer version, but they are questioning the value/worth of the watch, and have pointed out a few things that need improvement.

I think it's the start of something promising, and hopefully the apps will come through and prove useful.

Among other things, I like the fact that you can wear Bluetooth headphones and have music with you when you run, and you don't need to bring the note 3 along with you.

That is a good option but for the expense of it all I think the price will go down and the tech will go up in the near future so I would wait on it. BTW the S5 is coming out soon, have you seen that one yet? What is your impression of it?

I like the S5. It's a great size and It'sabout the same specs as the note 3 (maybe slightly better). I think it's great that phone companies are finally making phones that are somewhat water and dirt resistant.

The Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are both sold out on amazon today. The first day they went on sale...

I knew that would happen, the gear line is too limited for me right now. In it's infancy it looks nice but I see in the near future it becoming cheaper with more features and much more interactive.
