Sea Urchin

I just ate Uni for the first time the other night. If you told me a year ago I would be eating sea urchin gonads raw, I would have thought one of us was nuts. Anyway, its pretty awesome.

we sicilians eat them all the time, right out of the ocean. (also note that i was in sicily when i was introduced)

I love uni- when it's fresh. Not so fresh, pretty yucky. But as much as i love uni, I prefer mirugai much more.
