Getting to East Hanover?

Hey All,

Figured someone on the board might be able to help out. Have an interview in East Hanover, NJ on Thursday and I'm looking for the quickest way to get there via public transport or a bus leaving from Manhattan.

Where in east Hanover, I live next town over

e, bus from port authority or take a Train to Newark, then shoot over. It might be 30 depending on time of day by car (from newark station)

I'm trying to get to 100 Deforest Avenue, East Hanover, NJ

I drive to ridgefield park daily for work and it takes approx 20-25 min. My guess is RP to queens is close to 30 minutes but i travel against traffic for the most part due to the hours i start. By car I'd say an hour to be safe. I live maybe 2 min from eh. I know there are a ton of busses in the area, but never paid much attn to them. Im sure you ca access routing information online via NJ transit. Gl with interview

Pretty much everything runs off of rt 10, river road, or ridgedale avenue if that helps you at all

Your best bet is to try calling NJ Transit and find out, their web site sucks.

I use to work in Florham Park pretty much next to EH, a former co-worker would drive from Forest Hills Queens and he said that commute would be terrible going home. There was a bunch of people who came from Queens and Manhattan by car. Being paid well I guess is enough to justify the terrible commute.

Check out hopstop.com..they will give directions walking,biking, driving..They even have an app.

2.5 hours would be brutal, unless its worth it in long run. crazy how much longer public trans would take but believable for sure

Lots of trains/buses run nearby but still leave about a mile walk to actually get to the building....hmmm

Cm...The bus runs the opposite of how I'd need it to run

A fold up bike I'd say but with this snow storm it's more like some skii's and goggles

I'd google map the area you will get off and will walk, I don't recall Rt 10 having much of a sidewalk in most areas, usually just grass for the most part so best be prepared to tread through all that snow that was just dumped and plowed to the area.

East Hanover is pretty far even if your from different parts of Jersey.

I'd try another way but if that's all you have as transportation. Make sure you map it out correctly. I'd hate to think if you wing it and the bus leaves early or miss it. Most NJ buses run every hour unless it's to NY.
