Camping grounds

Hello reefers. I wanted to go camping but it's been about 10 years since I've been camping and that was in North Carolina. I wanted to know what are some good options near nyc. Don't want to go to a cabin or anything like that. I actually wanna go camping with tents and the whole nine. Thanks in advance for near nyc camping grounds suggestions.

Wildwood park in wading river.

then you can go to Atlantis marine world and stop by my coral lab on your way out of town. its on the sound with beaches and what not.

Mongaup pond campground. ..state run camp. ..

Covered bridge campground ..privately owned ( if you like piece and quiet it's nice )..

Both places are nice
Livingston manor..exit 96 off 17 about 2 hrs from the city

There are always a number of options. It really depends on how far you are willing or wanting to travel. There are plenty of smaller campgrounds that you can find with a quick search on google. These sites usually provide for tent camping, but with the benefits of shower rooms and bathrooms with running water. One camp ground that I believe is near NYC is the Frontier Town campgrounds. They are fantastic and allow for tents or renting of cabins. You also have the option of simply finding a remote space in the mountains and set up a tent. This will take more research because you may have to get a permit to camp on some government lands.

I go twice a year once to Delaware water gap in the summer then pumpkin chunkin after Halloween so much fun love camping
