Mugging Central Park

A guy got mugged in Central Park this weekend. The robber refused to take his crappy flip phone

I thought my father-in-law was the last person to have a flip phone, but apparently there is at least one kindred soul out there. 25-year-old Kevin Cook was walking through Central Park with a friend around 12:30am Saturday whenthey were approached by two muggers with a gun.

But when Cook handed over his "3-year-old generation Windows phone," the mugger only became angry.*Cook told the*New York Post*that ?Once he saw my phone, he looked at it like, ?What the f?k is this?? and gave it back to me,?

Cook noted that the robber must not have thought "he could get anything for it" and (correctly) added "It's kind of humorous." I would have thought some museums and private collectors would pay thousands for a vintage flip phone by now, but I guess not. The*Post*did not report if the mugger made off with Cook's compass, walkman, or Yak Bak.

LOL!!! a WALKMAN! its not the 80s-90s! hes gonna get like 6$ at the pawn shop for that thing... and a yak-bak ohhh gosh. great cook Dumb crook is right. feel bad that he got mugged.

This sort of thing is crazy. It seems crazy the mugger didn't feel so bad for the guy that he just allowed him to keep everything. I read a story recently of a 90 year old woman who was attacked while sitting and waiting for the bus. As it turns out, she was mugged a year prior to this at the same bus stop. She had purchased a gun because of this mugging, and when she was attacked on that day by a group of young men, one of them lost their face from it. Needless to say the rest of the group ran away.
