As the time to apply to college approaches, I have begun to wonder how to portray my interests in my college application. Are there any nonprofit organizations that are reef related and help preserve the habitat (preferably in Jersey so I have quick access)? Looking to volunteer.

I'm sure can volunteer at local aquariums they might also have connections to various groups that fill what your looking for. I recall some people at my school ( forever ago) working at a place in new gretna exit52 maybe on parkway. It was a saltwater fishery/research type place. No clue name, but had a special interest at the time, so i knew how to find it when needed

the aquarium in nnj takes volunteers. cant remember the name but he volunteer program is nicely fleshed out on their website.
