Geico sux, avoid em. You have to be with them a long time before you see any real discount and if you get into an accident whether its your fault or NOT they practically double the insurance.

I was driving up Fresh Pond Rd one day and this guy wasnt paying attention and made a left turn into me and crushed my door to the point that it would open and it was dertermined by GIECO that it was partially MY fault that he hit the side of my car although I had the right of way. My own insurance company blamed me lol. If you are a new driver avoid em, if you had a lapse in your insurance avoid em also

i had geico, they treated me well, but i just switched to allstate because it was cheaper. i had the military discount with geico also. only saves me $90 over 6 month, but a girl i work with called allstate and she is now saving $400.00 over 6 months after switching from geico.

DId you give them all your info? Violations and Accidents? If not than that $418 is going to get jacked up right after your first month's payment. When they do run your record.

yeah i find that hard to belive. i had the military discount, and on one car for full coverage i paid $680 for 6 months with a perfect record, no tickets or accidents. unless that price is just for liability. call the a few times to make sure. also call allstate and tell them you are thinking of switching because they may find a way to lower your price. i had geico for 3 years. it slowly climbed higher and higher. when i turnd 25 it went up, every 6 months i had 15-25 bucks added to my premium.

Does anyone know how long it takes for Geico to review your records before they give you a reduction once you sign up with them? For example, would a two year clean record with Geico be enough for a reduction?

I was with them for 3 years and got nearly no discount $30 for 6 months. In order to take advantage of these BIG discounts you have to have no accidents in 3 years (whether your fault or not) and no tickets for 5 years (whether you got points or not) and no lapse in your insurance for more then 30 days and also be with them 5 years or more.

Thats what i was told by Gieco themselves this past Feb.
