I just have two points about phones-- why does everyone get so excited about which phone is better, and treat it like a huge competition between the iPhone and Android? LOL. It's crazy. Buy what you like better. They'll all work just fine. They're all too fragile for how much you're paying.

Second point is this--- no matter how cool all these new phones are, there's no way anyone will convince me to buy a new phone. Why? Because there's no freakin' way I'm spending more money for DATA.!!! Seriously phone companies, enough already. We already pay for a data plan, texting, minutes, "4G internet".. Now we have to pay exorbitant, ridiculous fees for a few gigabits of data on top of the ridiculous fees we pay now? LOL. No thanks.

My wife and I are on a family plan. We both have iPhone 4's and pay about $175/month right now. That's insane. When we are going to pay for a few GB's of data, it will be over $200/month for the same exact service. What a waste of money.

I have Verizon and I truly think it's the best, but it's still sub-par IMO. They're all too much money.

Anyway, how does Apple require you to continuously give it more money? I haven't spent a cent on my phone since I bought it that is only required for apple products. I've bought cases and spent money on songs, but you have to do the exact same thing with any other phone. If you're talking about buying the latest generation phone, well.. There's a new droid out every month or so. What's the support like on phones that aren't the latest and greatest? We can still upgrade to the newest iOS (for free) when it comes out. Not trying to argue, just curious.

HTC One ALL day!!! An iPhone is like having a Ferrari and only being able to drive 55mph

Can please elaborate on this comment? . . I will still have a opportunity to change what I have selected and curious on how you are utilizing your phone to fully take advantage of the speed and how an iPhone would hinder you from doing the same.

I still have an opportunity to change what I have select and want to ensure I didn't anything when i was doing the compare.

Thanks

HTC and other Android builders have become very developer friendly. You will find plenty of sites with custom Rom builds to rid your phone of useless bloatware in turn creating more space and speed on the device.
These custom roms usually com with tweaks and themes to manipulate the phones look and performance the more.
Though iPhones can be jailbroken I do not believe you have the freedom to really dig into the phones OS as you can with Android.
I have tested my phone which I have rooted and unlocked already against iPhones and I tend to out perform them speed wise.

All in all I would say there isnt much that an iPhone can do that an Android, the HTC One is this case can't but there is a lot the iPhone can't do that Android can.
Compared to the S4 there pretty much neck and neck performance wise. The color is better on S4 but camera and sound is better on the HTC.

I actually have a HTC One for Sprint that I am trying to trade/sell , my daughter wants an iPhone instead cause of course most of her friends have one.

Oh I see. Same argument as those posted by others already. The level of customization you can do on the Android platform versus an iPhone.

This kinda reminds me of when I was younger building my own computer rigs for gaming. I loved the freedom to customize the hardware as I "needed" but never really took advantage of the "upgrades" I made.

At the end of the day, the iPhone still works for me since I don't want to spend the time to tweak things to minutely optimize my device. God knows I already spend so much time trying to tweak my reef :wink1: if I start doing the phone tweaking my wife will definitely kill me :fishhit:

LOL. I'm married so I totally understand. iPhone is definitely a user friendly phone with good enough performance for the average person. And as Reef Monkey stated unless you're actually going to utilize the tweaking functionality it services no purpose. Whatever phone you go with may you enjoy it.

Pretty much.
There are a lot of tweaking you can do on an android compared to an iphone. Androids can be customized and that could be good or bad depending on who is doing it.
Apple has dependable well built devices that are more bullet proof and well supported. Yet there is one thing the iphone does that no android can do. Hold its resale value.
