Xbox 360 or PS3...

For those who are still playing console games...I'm interested to know everyones opinion on the two ....Gauging interest in PS3 but the price tag is haunting me ....As for now the Xbox 360 has my vote but recently read an article that forcasts a future HD-DVD drive add for the 360 for around $200 to compete with the PS3's blu-ray system at $500....

Here is what I know

stick w/ 360 imo, i've never been a fan of playstation consoles

the biggest thing for is that blu-ray isnt even wide-spread, sony is betting its going to take a foot hold and become popular.

i love my 360, and couldnt imagine paying the 600-700 dollars they have projected for ps3

plus the 360 game market was slow but is picking up this year with some real amazing games

of course just my opinion, i know lots of ppl who are saving up for PS3 right now

PS3 or die!! When the price drops of course. Love my PS2, thats my 2nd hobby (waiting for Madden 07). Soon Xbox will become a thing of the past.

I dunno since I have never parted with my Sony PS2....but recently with the addition of NBA 2k6, Dead Rising, and Saints Row on 360 which Kuya Has ive been changing my tune lately....

The only thing that looks truley amazing with PS3 right now is "2 Days to Vegas", and "Killzone 2".....

As of now though my computer actually takes more of my time up than my PS2 with the addiction to Counter Strike that i will never get over....its to easy to play and never gets old unlike some of my PS2 titles....

Yeah, Im kinda the opposite although I may have my hands on a 360 system real soon for next to nothing....have you checked out "2 days till vegas" it looks amazing!

I dont know too much about ps3 specs but the xbox 360 is amazing. Find me online xUpInSmoke420x. I really dont like the idea of paying 500 bills for a game system.

Hey, I got my xbox 360 the first day it came out, and this thing is crazy.
Graphically, you really cant tell the difference between the ps3 and the 360.
Plus you will also be getting GTA4 for the 360 if you like those type of games.

You guys should check out Dead Rising for 360 its crazy, almost as nuts as Saints Row...I think if you go on Xbox live you can download the demo for both if you have the harddrive....Played it at Kuyas very very addicted!!! :tongue1:

imo dead rising is a terrible game. dont waste 60 dollars, rent it. I played it- very repetative and the missions were boring. Sure killing zombies the whole time is fun, (and the only thing thats fun) but it gets old. Any game w/o a multi -player option ought to be a lot better then this one. I think 360 only shines when ur on live. Saints Row looks good, demo was okay- but i'll wait for COD3, Halo 3 and lost planet demo was out of this world, not to mention gears of war better money spent on those then dead rising !!
( i actually wanted dead rising till iplayed the full game)

i dont play halo much on live- its kinda boring (and its xbox live which sucks) because it reminds me of half life spawn kills and n00bs. But if u have COD2 and GRAW we can play. my tag is FrakYou

PS3 all the way. It's gonna blow the 360 out the sky. Not to say that the 360 isn't amazing, but heah to head it's a no brainer! The only reasong why the 360 is so popular now is that they came out first, but when the ps3 comes out, there goes their sales as well.

Well thats an obvious statement. When competitors come out w/ something new, the previous system will always slow down in sales, but they eventually even out.

one of the reason PS2 beat Xbox was become Microsoft didnt know how to market a game to Asian countries. Who are very loyal to Sony, but unlike the original xbox, 360 has really taken hold in areas that shunned the original xbox, which is simply amazing.

but i dont favor one system PS3 is going to be an phenomial system, but IMO most of the games really lack anything entertaining (but thats b/c i hate sports games and final fantasy RPG crap)

Playstation has always progressivly enhanced each system whereas microsoft made a great leap from xbox to 360, i think it forced sony's hand into pushing PS3 faster and farther then they intended hence the even larger pricetag and more ''up to date'' features. But thats the business market, i personally think the rivalry between sony and microsoft is going to bring out the best gaming has ever seen.

I was going to wait for PS3 till I went to my friends house and he and played his 360. So the wife went out and got it for me. :kiss:
From what I read there is not going to be that much of a Diff. The PS3 is going to cost 500 to 600 and the games are going to be 100 each. When I heard how much the games were going to be that made up my mind. I love my 360 when I thought I would never go that way.

Plus, analysts sense an impending doom on Sony with their pricing structure. They want to make Blu Ray the norm and the $500 package doesnt even have HDMI to fully support 1080p.
