And Jer would know lmao.

Build quality, stability, resale value are all in the IPhones favor.

And even though it gives up almost 6 megapixels to the S4 as far as the camera goes, the 5 takes a far superior image. The 3 images below were all taken w my 5.

Started to use the Note2 today, only touching the surface of features so far. BUT I already fall in love with it. Comparing to the iPhone 4, we are talking about running i7 vs atom-the Note2 is so much faster and can handle complex things much faster than the iPhone. The much larger Note2 screen does not strain my eyes like the smaller iPhone4 does. However, finding a place to put in it is not as easy as iPhone4. Now, if you consider, iPhone5, I guess you will run into the same BULGING effect.

Also the seamless integration of Google Voice contact with the Note2 is god send.

Couple friends of mine have both S4 and Notes2, They all voted for Notes2. They owned iPhones before but not sure which model.

@strgazr27
While other attributes about iPhone you mention may be true but I cannot say for stability. I owned iPhone 3, 3G and iPhone 4, all 3 hang and will suddenly slow down once a while. Have to cold boot them to get them to work. At one time, AT&T Store worker cannot turn on my phone for 5+ minutes. It turns out that when the connection is bad, the iPhones will try desperate to log on without booting. The problem seems to lowered after upgraded with the latest OS. Well, we still need to upgrade it one more time until the new OS plug the charger hacking hole which Apple said will fix that security breach. Also tried 3 times unlocking the iPhone 4 according to the AT&T instructions, but all failed. The tech finally told me to use his more in depth method with another carrier's simm. Have not try it yet fearing it will mess up my info in the other carrier's simm.

@empire
The AT&T store in Canal Street were not able to completely transfer my contacts from the IPhone 3 to 3G nor from the 3G to the 4. The reps(3 guys tried and actually put Apple online too) said, I just have too much info that saved both in the simms and the memory.

@Tuni,
Go to Dell mobility, they have Note2 for ~$125

@OP,
you need to try them hands on, they are all good but only you can tell what features fit you best.

You are comparing the note to an iphone 4?
Yes the 4G service and new processor will be faster since it is not 3 years old. If you just bought a Note you would be better comparing that to the next ipad mini coming out in the fall.

I assume you are talking to me.
I cannot compare the i5 because I do not own one. I only test run my friend's i5 for a very short period, so I cannot say too much about the i5 with authority nor has it impressed me. However, for only $125, owning a Note2 is a pretty good deal for me. So far running it for 1 day, no regrets. May be tomorrow, the Note2 will drop dead and I'll be cursing the hell out of Samsung. LOL

You can't beat removable battery, removable memory, a killer camera, great screen, and apps that let you access files on your pc or other samsung device from your phone as long as it it logged in, a smart remote for all of your entertainment devices, and phenomenal battery life. The GS4 has all of these and more.

Duke, they are more powerful than some computers, a side feature is the phone. I don't think you can call them a phone anymore.

I like the resale value. Every two years i sell my iPhone for close to $300. The new iPhone costs a little more than $325 so its almost free.
If other smart phones held their resale this well I would consider them.

Who is that unfortunate buyer? j/k

The ongoing rate on an unlock iPhone 4 seems to be low $200 in eBay.
At&T want to pay me $117 for it and so is Verizon(I think $113)

Never own a S3 but if it is on par with the iPhone4 the eBay average also low $200. The market acceptance seems to be very similar

You need the removable battery so you can reboot the phone once a week when the Android OS locks up. Removable memory is nice but not a deal maker, especially w ICloud and a 32 gig phone.as far as the camera goes, see above. The over saturated colors of the S4's OlED screen look pretty but unnatural. As far as PC access, gotomyPC works on the Iphone. Phenomenal battery life depends solely on the user and what they do with the phone. My wife's 5 can go 2 days without needing a charge. I get roughly 12 hours of avg usage before it needs to be charged....

Sold my last 2 iPhones for $300 to Verizon customers. Very common actually. Personally wouldn't buy a used phone off eBay but that's me.

Comparing the note2 to an Iphone 4 is an unfair comparison. 2 different hardware levels.

Bulging? Have no idea what you mean.

Again comparing an Iphone3,GS and 4 running an older version of IOS is really of no value. I have had to cold boot my 5 twice in the 6 months I have owned it. And both were due to corrupt app install/downloads.

You are correct about the size though. Good luck sitting down w a Note2 in your pants pocket. Lol

The best part is the android os for me. In my opinion apples os's are made for children to understand but you have to be happy with your choice. I myself hate apple. I have hated apple since the early 90's. They would have been out of business if Microsoft had not turned down the ipod. Yes the ipod idea was presented to Microsoft first. They turned it down for the zune. Big time mistake. They would have eliminated the small competition they had and made billions. Oh well, live and learn.

Zune, Surface, Bing. If Microsoft took the iPad when you said it was presented to them they would have had similar success as their other projects.
Microsoft makes software for other companies to license. The philosophy of Apple is to do both. Microsoft is now catching on to that idea but they are still in the weeds.

As for the MS vs Apple successes, I think if MS did not rescue Apple(plus leaving the executive power alone) when Apple bankrupt years back, that's the end of Apple. If someone else took over Apple at that time, the business model would drastically changed to one that could either excel even further or completely flopped. Not many people believe in Look and Feel can be patented at the time, especially after Lotus who used the same persuasion in courts and bullying tactics won over competitors by coercion(i.e. defendants has no money to continue the court). But when Lotus, itself, runs into financial ruins, no other company rescue it.

Microsoft needed Apple so they could show they weren't a monopoly. Microsofts issues were more because they couldn't escape the compatibility requirements of MS-DOS and Windows 3.1. Combined with lack of creativity and bad marketing they became the enterprise solution and focused on business like IBM to stay relevant. Apple blazed through with the ipod and that supported the company while Mac OS X and the transition to intel processors happened. They created an ecosystem where things worked since you were locked into their hardware and software and in the end i left my Linux world to have a great UNIX OS and still have email, address book, calendar, music, video, photo syncing, iChat, FaceTime, etc between multiple machines, phones, laptops, tablets, etc. and now with iCloud its gotten even easier, although still needs a lot of improvement.

Apple made themselves a computer i could get for my father in law and my step mom and not have to worry about them destroying with spyware, malware, etc. and could easily support with AutoUpdate, and iChat screen sharing. It really doesn't get easier.

Microsoft needed another company(not necessarily Apple) so that they could show they weren't a monopoly because buying up 50% of Apple means a bigger monoply.

So back to OP, did you check out which phone you like more? Remember, checking them out in an AT&T does not commit you to anything, you can still from Dell Mobility-they have Sprint, Verizon and AT&T plans. More than likely, the reps will have different machines themselves for you to compare.
