Any engineers?

My brother in law, 14, has a tough life in many regards. He's not starving or getting beaten or raped but not to get personal. Things like a true support system to make great decisions and a path.

I opened doors to mentor him and he opened up a bit.

He is interested in being an engineer. I am an IT so not much help. I do know this hobby has some of the most skilled and successful individuals to do what we do.

I would like to have him do a slight interview so he can gain goals in the eyes of a successful engineer. Basically, what to expect and how he must get there.

Any help would be amazing!!!

I was an engineer major, worked in finance, now I'm in the food business. lol

LOL. Basically want him to get feedback on what he needs to do to be successful. Any basic books to read, what hands on things should he be doing, etc.

Sounds like what I want to get done. Worked in the IT field for 10 years, Network Security degree but best option to get that $$ is opening a food business!
