What kind of mattress you sleep on?

We just bought a new bedroom set today. Upgraded from a queen to a king, so now we have to go mattress shopping. I've been leaning toward a tempur-pedic. I'm just not 100% sure. How do choose a mattress in a store by only laying on it for few minutes?

Any help would great.

I've got a sealy posturpedic. I like it.

However, after being on tour and staying in a "Sleep Number bed" I have to say it rocks! defnately going to be my next bed.

Also, don't forget to get 350 thread count sheets. Preferably Pima cotton. Your wife will love you for that.

350 TC? My kids sleep on 400TC. The wife and I sleep on 800 TC sheets. That's the way to go. Egyptian cotton sheet's too. They are a longer fiber cotton thread. Softer and more durable. Bedding used to be my department when I worked at BBB :biggrin:

I agree with Swimmer - 800 Egyptian TC for my wife as well and kids get at least 300 tc.

I have heard great things about the Sleepnumber beds,

One thing about beds though, is it is like music - one man's music is another man's noise - you may take a recommendation here and absoutley HATE the feel -

Test drive is the way to go here, unfortnately, you can only do that for like 5 minutes and can't really sleep in the showroom. I prefere Macy's for my beds - they usually have a 0% interest for a year sale going on all the time.

We have the tempur-pedic. had it for about 18 mo. now. Queen ..10 inch model (Insert joke here... ) got to tell you we love it now BUT when we got it It took about 2 weeks to get use to it.
