F'n COWARD. He deserved to get a halligan to the face, followed by a severe beating as well as the rest of his life getting whooped/violated in jail. Got the easy way out, he'll never have to suffer to the lengths he should have had to.

R.I.P. brothers, Godspeed.

My cousin is a firefighter in Paterson, NJ, every day/night he works I pray that stuff like this doesn't happen. For all the good that is in the world, there really are some truly evil people.

My heart goes out to those families who lost loved ones and to the men and women who provide such a service to our communities. I wish more people had respect for the job they do.

In the 5 or 6 weeks following Superstorm Sandy the Island Park FD received back up from other departments from around NYS and other states as well..they worked 24/7. Each Department usually stayed 3 days and then rotated elsewhere, or went back home.

They were a HUGE asset to our community between answer emergency calls (there were many!) and helping patrol our streets for the 17 days we were without power.

A lot of new friendships were made as the guys & gals traded stories and department shirts and jackets. They all gave up their free time to help us out.

One of those departmentswho helped us out was Webster. Our hearts are broken for their losses today.
RIP..
