I only watched the first few minutes... And I don't buy the whole "communist's are taking over part", but it's very obvious that people are going to have to change their personal water consumption habits.

Alex jones, as well as the zeitgeist movement, are misinformation agents. They disclose some truth to gain credibility before distributing nonsense. The amount of truth alex jones manages to deliver is only the tip of a giant ..iceberg. there is so much to cover (and discover) when it comes to conspiracy ANALYSIS. not theory. The hard part is choosing where to begin so that the inquirer doesn't dismiss it as dramatic, even hopeful for a reason for cynicism.

A good starting point of investigation is to look at the pyramid on the back of the dollar bill and research on that, and see where it will take you in history - if the mere sight of it isn't already distasteful at best.

Whenever I hear about these water war things I always think to myself why can't we just throw a pump into the ocean and feed it to our reverse osmosis systems. They're will always be plenty of electricity around especially now with solar and hydroelectric generators. Don't cruise ships and yachts do the same? They use reverse osmosis to make as much clean water as you want while you're at sea.

The RO membrane itself is capable of removing salt. Just not as efficiently as other methods. In a state of emergency, for example a war over water or no more drinking water available...A personal RO system like the ones we use on our tanks should do the job just fine to be able to live off of. Now that of course would be drinking and only necessary uses. I'm pretty sure if that was the case we wouldn't even be worrying about topping off our reef tanks :)

Salt water needs to be run through very expensive desalinization filters and then RO filtration in order to make it potable. It can be done, but uber expensive at this time.

My Avatar sums it up! People need to wake up by tuning out their TV's and doing their own investigating.

The part where we evolved from apes is not proven though devolving to the sheep is accurate.

For the immediate, I'd worry about a food crisis more than water at least in this area.

Food prices have gone up dramatically from 2008 from 40 to 100%+ on essentials. All it takes is another disaster to spark another crisis and shortage.

Household RO systems run at 40 - 80 PSI. That is the pressure required to reverse the process of osmosis. That means reversing the natural process of water diffusing through a semi-permeable membrane. The cleaner the water the lower the pressure needed.
I used to run RO systems as an engineer on ocean going boats. The systems I maintained generated over 1000 PSI to reverse the process of osmosis for seawater. That is far beyond the scope of our systems. The RO filter alone cost more than an AWI Typhoon Extreme. The piston pump used cost over $1000, there were prefilters, boost pumps and the noise this generated was about that of a train pulling into a subway station.
The output for all this was 20 gallons per hour which is not too much when you consider the logistics required.
