who has no room? Lakers with Amare and Howard? Or Knicks with Gasol and Tyson?

Knicks would have plenty of room with gasol and tyson. Gasol can shoot mid and close range jumpers. However there might not be enough power down low. Lakers won't have much room with Stat and Howard.

That trade could go either way for both teams. Amare and Howard would destroy the paint. However both STAT and Howard expect to have the spotlight and thus requiring the ball more often. Same issue with Melo and Stat. At least that balances more as Melo can hit a shot anywhere on the field and STAT is pretty much more dominant around the post and in the paint. Howard and STAT are essentially the same person, but Howard is much more dominant down low.

Gasol and Tyson would be a pretty balanced combo however i don't know how well it will work with Gasol as a PF, Tyson as Center and Melo as SF. Melo seems to be progressing nicely as a PF and I bet Woodson will keep him there even when STAT returns. I highly doubt Woodson would do anything to jeopardize the way Melo has been contributing to both sides of the court.
