Did a couple of rounds of it back when it first came out around '04. I liked it but it's a lot of work and requires over an hour a day 6 days a week from what I remember. I did the original p90 years before that so I was in shape for it. If you are in good shape/condition then it is a nice way to mix things up but I hope you like yoga. PM me for any questions you may have.

If you are committed it works. Its over an hour a day 6 days a week plus diet. Im pretty sure i';ve seen some infomercials for it recently for something lie 15 bucks, seriously. It works if you stick with it, i dropped 20 lbs the first time i used it last year

I've done P90X and Insanity + Insanity Asylum. Due to work, college, and family I always dropped off after about 2 weeks.

P90X unless you have the equipment needed in the videos then I'd rate it as OK.

Insanity does not require equipment which is a HUGE plus. It gives you an awesome work out because of it's intensity. I was used to the work outs because I was in the military and ran most of those drills during our work outs.

There is a hybrid version of Insanity and P90X if you want to get ripped. In 2 weeks I did lose a lot and felt the effects such as better stamina moving from one day to the next and completing the exercises.

The big problem I see with these are if you are not already fit. You have to add that video to a cardio/running program as well. So take the video + a nice run. We're looking at a 2 hour work out daily that you have to fit in your schedule. I felt like I was losing my ability to run longer as if I stuck to an old regiment of running ~5-10 miles a day when I was stuck on my ship. The running does not get you the physique though.

Thanks for all the info guys.

Thirty6 if you find those DVD's let me know.

I am going to look around a little before commiting to P90X. I've never worked on a regular basis. Until 2 years ago I was VERY active. Since having a child my wife and I had to slow down a bit. I don't need to lose weight, I want to bulk up a little and feel fit again.

The daily commitment of an hour seems like a lot but I'd like to try in for a few months and see how I feel.

OK. So you might want to ease in to it then. Tony Horton (the trainer) has a series called Power 90 which came out around '00 or so that has beginner and intermediate levels as well as a series called Power Half Hour which are 30 min workouts. He then put out a Power 90 Masters Series before P90X came out which was the "next step." If you haven't worked out in quite some time you may want to check out the earlier series to get you more in shape for 90X since it is pretty intense.

P90X - Used it, Loved It, Would do Again!

The only problem why I'm not doing it right now is because of me being in a saving mode I put my NYSC memership on hold and I cant't do jumping at home (my 5th floor shakes and aquarium splashes!)
