I am. Barely know how to use it.

I know it should be a clean install but don't have enough on my back up to bring back everything so considering getting the upgrade.You can even upgrade from XP.

The upgrade works fine. I also changed my boot disc to a SSD, so things are fast. Maybe faster with a clean install, but, considering how little my home desktop is used these days, not worth the trouble of tracking down discs and license #s, etc.

I upgraded from Windows 7 and definitely not coming back. The upgrade was smooth, Win 8 i much faster and I actually like the new start menu way better than a button
meant to say only on IT DEPT.. we're testing the aps for the hospital like emr, hbo,etc ... we had a copy of it 2 months ago . before they released it .

I have Windows 8 Lenovo Yoga preinstalled so not sure about the upgrade version.
I am also not sure is it the CPU, the ssd or the OS, it is just FAST!
As for interface, it actually offer very similar desktop functions if you choose to. So far I like it a lot. My stage lighting control software is compatible and will soon test the 3D mapping software. If both are compatible I will be switching all PC except the karaoke systems over to it(well, eventually I will test my KTV software on it too.)

I would say yes being it was built around the Windows 7 platform.I can be wrong.
